    Some AI models say “I don't know” to problems they can solve

    We asked six AI models for the smallest prime factor of 50 large numbers, with and without the option to answer UNKNOWN. Made to answer, GPT-6.1 Sol got four times as many right. For other models, “I don't know” was honest, and requiring an answer only produced wrong numbers.
